Grey is going to be big!
This is a collection which makes me excited for next autumn and we aren’t even in summer yet!
Topshop Unique revealed their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection at London Fashion Week in the Tate Modern.
The collection featured layered pieces in shades of blue and grey, bringing together different textures which are sure to be staple styles in many wardrobes.
Faux sheepskin, lace and faux fur were standout pieces amongst the busy collection. An interesting choice of accessory was the pin, collar necklaces, adding to the ‘preppy’ vibe.
Silk and lace added a feminine touch to the boxy shirts layered underneath cropped knitted jumpers. Many skirts and shorts were featured of all lengths and styles for everyone.
Blazers and oversized coats are a continuing trend, a favourite amongst the spring however with a twist of layering belts above the jackets to add a look of haute couture.
The collection transitioned into layered suits and mesh along with knitwear, each worn with heels or ankle boots layered with socks or knee high suede high-heel boots perfect for style and warmth.
Many jumpers featured alongside embroidered mesh pieces displaying incredibly detail on the runway, with contrasting shades of leather adding an edgy vibe.
Faux fur was added to the jackets and sweatshirts, complimenting the oufits by creating a variation of styles, the collection began to transition into gold layered silk skirts and turtle neck tees. Jourdan Dunn featured a stunning coat with peacock embellishment.
The final models featured items in shades of pale yellow/mustard hues including fluffy scarf’s and bags along with patchwork inspired fur gilets and body vests.
The collection finished with fewer layers and minimalistic dresses and shirts that allow the attention to be focused on the intricate designs.

A piece which caught my eye was the oversized black bomber style jacket featured nearer the end of the show. There is something for everyone.
This collection is certainly one to watch out for come next autumn and Unique have certainly upped their game.
What did you think of the collection?
